Donavon Lee Music
Dreams Really Do Come True. My name is Donavon Lee Carpenter and I am here before you as a testament to the kulaBrands model. I started out as a young boy singing with momma, in the church choir, and school functions. In those days, I would practice with a couple friends at different nursing homes that my grandmother worked. When I became a young man, I served in the U.S. Navy and upon honorable discharge, I followed my grandmothers’ footsteps into the nursing industry. Soon, the idea of chasing my dream seemed to be more challenging and less attainable. Although nursing in the critical care units and other facilities was fulfilling and rewarding to me, I changed career paths to create a more financially stable home environment for my children. I began working across the country, traveling as a mechanic in the nuclear power industry. While this new career path was lucrative, I still struggled with the time to chase THE DREAM. Long hours, days, and weeks turned into years; however, it was through this industry that I met my wife. Life began to take a turn for me after I met my lovely, talented, bride. She encouraged me to pursue my dream and I began writing, playing and singing again. Together, we managed an entertainment company and provided music for local establishments, weddings, and events. In this new challenge came an opportunity for local singing contests. I won several of them and that led to my first big stage performance at the Summer Jam in Benton Harbor, Michigan; opening the stage with the local radio station 97.5 Y Country and headliners Blake Shelton, Phil Vassar, and Billy Dean. Through that performance, I was asked to perform at the next local festival in St. Joseph, Michigan with headliners Trick Pony and Josh Gracin. During these performances, I realized I had the “bug”! I found that I love creating music in the studio BUT on stage is where I belong.
I’ve always dreamed of giving my Mother a recording of my music. That Dream came true on her birthday this year because of the power and the gift of the kulaBrands community. From a poem written by a fellow member as a gift - to a jingle for another members’ training class - my first recording was born out of passion for kulaBrands. I am so Grateful to our community of FRIENDS and overwhelmed by the support of this dream. As we grow, I ask for your support in creating and recording my first full length album. With your support, we will open the doors to package and deliver quality music and perform live shows all across the world, entertaining and earning royalties. Utilizing these moments as the platform to demonstrate the depth, strength, and quality of the kulaBrands model and spreading the word. Now more than ever is the time to dust off the Dreams that have been placed on the shelf. Working together, Dreams Really Do Come True. Thank you for your support Donavon Lee Music kulaYeeHaaw Yall
